I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Music Therapist, and Certified Holistic Nutritionist. I graduated from The State University of New York at New Paltz in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Therapy and Piano Performance, with a minor in Psychology. From there, I moved to South Carolina to complete my certification internship on the child -- geriatric psychiatric units at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia. I received my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina in 2008. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Work in 2011.
I have been in the field for many years. For six years I worked full-time as a Mental Health Clinician in a High School's School Based Youth Service Program (SBYSP). In September 2014, I transitioned into the Program Director position within that SBYSP. Wanting to branch off into the Private Practice sector, I formed Creative Solutions Therapy, LLC in 2012. I completed the Clinical Supervision Course through the NASW in February 2014-allowing me to supervise any LSW doing clinical social work. In the fall of 2014, I again expanded my career, beginning as a Part-Time Lecturer for Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work and an Adjunct Professor for Seton Hall University in 2016.
I have treated many children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of concerns and illnesses, including the Autism Spectrum, Behavioral Issues, Developmental Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Relationship Conflicts, and Bipolar Disorder.
